Rules and Qualifications

Top Teacher Overall

1. To qualify for top teacher prize monies, teachers must:

A. Be on a package AND
B. Dance the minimum number of Pro/Am entries as listed below.

*Points will be awarded to teachers for placements as listed below. Teachers with the highest point totals meeting the minimum entry criteria will be determined the winners. *For any Student/Student and Amateur couples (Adult or Jr.), the teacher will receive one point for the entry, towards top teacher. *For Pro/Am Junior entries danced on Sunday, the teacher will receive 1 point for the entry, towards top teacher.

2. If two teachers should tie for first place by both meeting the minimum entry criteria and having the same total points, they will split the sum of first and second places (i.e., each will receive $3,500). This also applies to all other places.
3. If the teacher with first place points does not qualify with 250 entries but has greater than 200 entries, then the first place prize money will be adjusted to equal the second place prize money of $3,000 Second place and all subsequent top teacher placements will be awarded accordingly.
4. To qualify for top teacher prize monies, all entries must be received no later than July 29th, 2013 and must be paid in full. Additional entries after the deadline will not count towards top teacher points and entry minimums.
5. All Teachers will receive cash back bonuses for their entries as described below: (this includes any entry that the teacher dances in - Pro/Am adult, Pro/Am Junior, or Professional)

   From 50 to 75 entries = $100 cash back. From 76 to 100 entries = $150 cash back. From 101 to 150 entries = $200 cash back. From 151 to 200 entries = $250 cash back. From 201 to 249 entries = $300 cash back $1,000 Bonus for any teacher bringing 250 entries or more!

   Top Teacher in Each Style

   1st PLACE will be awarded for all four styles – International Latin, International Ballroom, American Rhythm & American Smooth. The Top Teacher for each style will be awarded $500. All rules, as listed above, apply with the exception that in order to qualify, a teacher must have a minimum of 50 Pro/Am entries per style and the teacher does not need to be on a package.
